We understand that things come up unexpectedly. However, we ask that all students give at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel/reschedule a lesson. Failure to do so means we do not have enough time to fill the appointment with the instructor.
If you cancel without adequate notice, or if you are a "no show" for your appointment, we will charge a $60 (+ tax) cancellation/no show fee. Your appointment will be rescheduled only when the fee has been paid. Please note that you may experience delays in your training if your appointment times are not kept.
Think about it: The instructor will be paid for the 1.5 hours he was scheduled to work. Then he will be paid for another 1.5 hours when you are rescheduled for the appointment you missed. So we pay him twice for the same lesson. This is not an expense we are able to cover regardless of the reason for your cancel.
Should a customer not appear for their lesson, the instructor will make reasonable efforts to reach them. If they are not able to reach the customer after 15 minutes, the lesson will be cancelled and the no show fee will be applied. Customers who are late (15 minutes or less) for their appointment can proceed with the lesson, but it will end at the regularly scheduled time.
Showing up for a lesson without your driver's permit (or driver's license for already licensed drivers) will result in termination of the lesson if you cannot retrieve the permit/license (or have it dropped off) within 15 minutes. This will be considered a late cancellation and the late cancellation fee will be applied.
For "frequent cancellers", a $25 (+ tax) fee will be charged for rebooking if a customer cancels their appointments three times or more (with or without 24 hours notice).
Fee will be charged to rebook the third cancellation and all subsequent cancellations. Appointment will not be rebooked until the fee is paid.
We reserve the right to discontinue services if the frequency of cancellations exceeds what is reasonable. Customers will be refunded for the hours they have not completed, minus any outstanding fees.
Full amount to be refunded (minus deposit) if NO training takes place (classroom or in-car).
Once classroom training has begun, refunds (minus deposit) will be based on the number of hours not yet completed for the purchased package.
Full amount to be refunded if no in-car sessions have taken place.
Once in-car training has begun, refunds will be based on the number of sessions not yet completed.
Single lessons are non-refundable.
Single lessons used as road test reattempts are also non-refundable.

Customers who are registered for a certificate program must complete their in-car training within one year from the date they completed the classroom course. Customers who do not schedule their in-car training within this amount of time will forfeit their training and will not be entitled to a refund.
Customers who purchase other types of services, such as the Road Test Prep Package or Extra Training Package, must complete their in-car training within one year of the date of purchase. Customers who do not schedule their in-car training within this amount of time will forfeit their training and will not be entitled to a refund.
$50 (+ tax) fee to be charged if a customer fails to pay their "remaining balance due" by the first day of classroom training (accredited programs) or if a pre-arranged instalment (payment plan) is missed/late.
Certificate program students must successfully complete all course requirements in order to receive a certificate of completion. Course requirements are outlined in the classroom component of the course and are listed in the In-Car Training & Road Test Information slideshow. A link to this slideshow was included in the "Certificate Program Information" document you received upon registering and it can also be accessed here.
Road tests (for certificate program students and private students) will only be granted if the student is able to a) demonstrate proficiency with all in-car training topics as per our prescribed curriculum and b) pass the in-car proficiency evaluation.
All customers are responsible for paying the $78 government road test fee prior to attempting their road test. This fee is NOT included in the amount paid for A+ Drivers training services. The fee must be paid directly to the government through the customer's personal MyGovNL account. The fee is charged by the government for every road test attempted.
***In addition to the road test fee, customers who pass their road test must pay $125 to get their license issued at MRD.
Our team is here to help you. Please treat them with respect. We do not tolerate, on any level, abusive or rude language. While you may not always get the answer you want to hear (i.e. with regards to training timeline, in-car performance, road test readiness, etc.), the expectation is that you communicate appropriately with all staff. We reserve the right to terminate services if a customer demonstrates disrespectful communication or behaviour. Thank you for understanding.
